Thanks for the kind praise. Sorry I'm only replying to this now. I actually don't follow strict meter as such.. Anytime I've tried to go all out with it I find the lines either feel too short or too long with awkward wording either way.
My big focus is definitely rhyme (I'm fairly strict on it) and alliteration (where I can fit it in). Apart from that I try not to let lines run too far ahead of/behind each other, and I suppose what feels like "natural cadence". if that makes sense?
Beautiful work. Do you follow a meter for your poems? It reads like it, adding to this classical elegance I can‘t shirk while reading your works.
