The sea foams, frets, erupts! The spray reveals a sentinel. Shell and scale, flesh and fingers Twenty fathoms head to tail. Clutching claws splinter strakes, Fisheyes stare, chill my conceit. A sea shepherd’s ancient duties, Aeons strike my mind in a moment. Leaning deck, shaking legs, We kneel before the Neptunian baron. Man children craving clemency, Invaders of his coral kingdom.
