That means a lot - thanks man. TBH I struggled a bit with this one as there are some pretty obvious connotations with mushrooms and “magic(k)” that I REALLY don’t want to be pulled into… Avoiding that trap is something I’m proud/relived about!
No I didn't get the druggy vibe at all - my overall impression was one of rising and falling civilisation with all that talk of law, reason, treason, commandment, corruption, to name a few - exquisite imagery - loved it!

One of the benefits of the Substack community I guess as ive followed both you and your work now for quite some time but it totally stands alone anyways - nothing wrong with trippy vibes though, so long as it's induced by the poetry alone! 😂

I am fascinated by mushrooms. I think they will truly inherit the world. The earth can go on without humans, it can't without fungus.
You have more restraint than I though. I would be itching to have a play on words about "Morel memories." :)
Well poetry is by nature a limit of words and I didn't have MUSH ROOM!!!
