An excerpt from my illuminated poetry book Hypnos Hermes
Gleaming sun, an egg’s interior.
A safety craving the collapse.
Black tendrils touch vermilion
In thievery’s closing grasp.
Solar circle sinking, crumbling.
A chaperone’s eye closing,
Revealing seductive spaces
In the day’s slow ruin.
Swirls build, swags bulge,
As clouds burn and blacken,
The sky making sculptures,
Air workings or my intention.
