Sol Escort
(Click to see full size with greater detail)
A short break from my ongoing series "Cerebral Citadel" for this Tomes Tuesday. A greeting to the start of summer (such as we have in Ireland!) The Audio features a reading by me - as opposed to an automated voiceover.
Sol Escort
Breezes balk, rain stills.
Sky clean of dusty clouds.
Sun chases shades from hills
Sets a space for waiting crowds.
Heat stoked, shining lime.
Blooms smoothing petal dress.
Perfection pinnacle sets the time,
Diva wings accept no less.
Sol’s escort in sharp formation
Cerulean chevron, chevron silver,
Flowing faster, arrow ambitions.
Celestial bow empting quiver.
Turn, swerve, glide, dive,
Angled spirals, oddment shapes,
Weave Sol's heraldic device
Joining form her flowing cape.
Swallow tails crown summer,
Signal butterfly shapeshifters
Flowering fields, wilder, warmer.
Honey drones lift and stir.
Whistling flutes sound the fanfare,
Sol's court called to order.
Nesting swallows make their lairs
Basking crowds gaze, adore.
Happy Tomes Tuesday
