Mulching Gold
Green arrows pointed proud,
Gesture to their solar birth.
Amber sovereigns cast aground
Accept the eating earth.
Golden colour, faded, spent,
Autumn’s apex, dragging day.
Slipping moment, fluttered, went,
Mulching gold to yielding clay.
Twirling leaves, grounded, stilled,
Darkened theatre mornings.
Ice winds, dance unveiled
Singing bitter warnings.
Green vigour, violet pride,
Slowly drenched and frozen.
The waning of the tides,
Stars aground and open.
Acceptance welcomes ice
Green glories, shaded scene.
Grounded light, willing device
