From the Hypnos Hermes Collection
Desert Elemental
Swift impressions slow into
An ancient desert elemental.
Sparkling sheets and molten flow
Carve a figure of hardened crystal.
A leonine face, gaze fixed
Into the softness of my core.
Heat stirs from my rib tips,
Calling ghosts to raging war.
His royalty rises fifteen feet high,
Brow encircled by the golden cobra.
Flared head, face hardened
Serpent coiled in a militant mandala.

Graeme great stuff. I think I read it 3 times already and I am sure there will be a few more. There is nothing holding this poem back and I think that is what makes it stand out.
Awesomeness.
