Chrysalis Spills
I fought with this one.. The illustration bounced from too "pretty butterfly" to too dark and grainy like a nine inch nails album cover. Light, Dark, Light, Dark - hopefully I now have the balance of "glory BUT earned" right... From the Sovereigns of the Seasons collection
Chrysalis Spills
Caterpillar crawls, graceless growth
Syncopated steps on the leaf.
Chew knowledge to churning broth
Slurp, bite, jig, saw belief.
Green leaves, glutton's libraries
Transcendent blue, visceral red
Midpoint. Conflicted contemporaries
Called to oneness or coerced.
Clashes paint a green horizon.
Bites break slower, something shifts
Echoing yell, on green, alone.
Grey horizon, dulls and drifts.
Shell builds, woven cocoon,
Silken outward composure.
Red ricochets, blue booms
In rising osmotic pressure.
Shattered green, midpoint collapse,
Cardinal colours reclaiming station.
A psychic, pulmonary lapse.
Serene shocks enforce evolution.
Chrysalis spills palette wings,
Accepted chaos, disparate unity.
Green jailer, broken sting.
Agnostic flights of liberty.
