An excerpt from a book I am working on entitled "Chaos Charms" - this piece contemplates the void before the spark of the bang and the birth of our universe. Or perhaps after the end of the previous one? (Assuming you subscribe to the idea of "linear time".) Every silver nerve is spent. The jester ends his toil. Coloured cloth solemnly sent To the softness of the soil. Black absorbs then arranges With quiet, wild ambition. Sacredness and strangeness Climb coyly to fruition.
